Well, my fourth wedding book is finally finished! Hooray!

Digital Wedding Photography: Art, Business, and Style by Steve Sint

About 275 pages, its release date is June 7, 2011. Just in time for the wedding season!

More words than my portrait book (it’s thicker!), even more pictures, but this time, for a change, a lot of the images in it are from my students and friends at the Maine Media Workshops, plus some from two younger, second generation photographers from photographer parents who I consider friends, along with images from my own assignments and ones from the studios I shoot for.

BTW, my publisher is really happy with it. In truth, I don’t know if she’s happy with the book or just that I finished it! Regardless, she wants me to do another book on an entirely different photography topic – partly because I’m tired of doing books about wedding photography! That’s all I can say for now but there’ll be another News Flash about that soon…I’m very excited about it!

• Steve Sint

  Steve Sint has spent a great deal of his life walking down aisles backwards. Over a 35 year career, he has photographed over 4000 weddings, taken over 2 million photographs, and shot over 1 million portraits for his own studio and others in the New York metropolitan area. As a commercial photographer he has taken thousands of executive portraits and his client list has included the American Broadcasting Company, Time Inc., Hearst Publications, Yves St. Laurent, AT&T, NCR, National Semiconductor, Miller Freeman Publishing and Hachette-Filipacchi Magazines. His photographs have appeared on the covers of over 60 national magazines including LIFE, Omni, Stereo Review, and Modern Photography. As a columnist and contributor his words and photographs have also appeared in Studio Photography, Lens Magazine, Modern Photography, Popular Photography, View Camera Magazine, Railroad Model Craftsman, and he has authored 4 books on photography. In his most recent book, Digital Portrait Photography: Art, Business, and Style, he shares his experience with his readers in the breezy, knowledgeable, and accessible style his writing is known for. At this point in his career he limits his assignments to 50 per year for a select New York clientèle, photographs and writes about things he enjoys, and still finds time to lecture on professional photography, conduct workshops on wedding and portrait photography, and work on his model railroad.
